On land trekking, Jan 2011

Being an amphibian is to also have an active life out of the water. ?

The Amphibians SCUBA club have extenstively dived Gozo - now they are trekking the land too! A group of keen divers have recently spent a day exploring the out-of-water beauty the island of Gozo had to offer. But true to amphibian nature, they were never that far away from the sea, as these pictures demonstrate.

Gozo Weekend - Autumn 2010

On a fine weekend in late Autumn, the Amphibians & Friends headed to the 3-Hills Island at the time when Odyssey had just messed up the environment next to Azzure Window!

In cryptic fashion, the chimney intertwinned with the double arch that lost its bearings into Dwejra and the ever present Azzure Window, met for a final dive. Sorry guys if this makes no sense - still narced from the last dive!

Annual Diner 2010

In early December and true to tradition, the Amphibians held their Annual Dinner during which the 2011 Calendar and DVD of the 2010 season were presented to members present.

The preseident of the Club, Mr. Charles Azzopardi gave a speech for the occassion during which he outlined the highlight events of the year and spoke about the future ambitious plans of the club - namely to continue the long standing traditions of diving and dining!

A raffle was drawn and many won free boat dives and other gifts.  The special prize of the day was a commemaritive gentleman's complete set of tie and cuff links gently donated by Mr. Michael Cooper. The winning number of this special prize was won by  Mike C a very close relative of Mr. Cooper. The jury is still looking into the case...
